You can usually find Amber and Meghan adorning people and canvases with henna near the Needlepoint Joint on 25th during the farmer's market. While both have been doing henna as a hobby for several years, they teamed up to start Barbed Lotus in 2008. Both are available for parties, events and more year round.
Original hand painted watercolors. Flowers, fruit and vegetables are my subject matter. Small sizes (4x6 - 5x7 inches) with a matt start at $10.00. This is the second year I have participated in the Art Market. I enjoy the opportunity to show my work and the feedback from the many people who come downtown each Saturday.
Mel and Louise Pollard are returning to the Market this year with lots of photographs. Those of fruits, vegetables and flowers printed on canvas fit right in with the Farmers Market. Then there are all our other photographs and note cards.
All carvings and stone work are the creations of Michael A Beard.
Dr. Beard is a retired Weber State Professor of Laboratory Science. The creative portion of his brain has always tried to find outlets, but no one type of production seems to satisfy that need, therefore the great variation of "in-the-round" art pieces.
The stones are cut primarily from Utah specimens.
The name, An Array of Artistry- is intended to prevent limitations, as I never want to stop experimenting with new things. At the Market, this will be my 6th year under the SAME tree on Grant Ave.
