ReInvented Objects is about finding and recycling used items. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, handmade, original work of art, which means that it's been specifically tailored to you, for your enjoyment. We hope that in producing recycled artwork, we can show the world that "one mans junk is another mans treasure" and nothing need go unwasted. About Us
ReInvented Objects started when a creative mind bonded with old junk and formed jewelry. At first, it was a hobby just for enjoyments sake, but when pieces started to sell off of her wrist or neck, she thought that maybe she could share her interest in jewelry by creating art that others could enjoy, too.
About the Artist
Denise Petersen is a full time nurse who, in her spare time, makes jewelry from found objects.  She thoroughly takes pleasure in gathering used pieces and assembling them to make a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art. Some might say that her art room is full of "junk", but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you never know what you can make out of something until you try. She is a self-taught artist who has worked with Susan Kazmer and Sherri Haab.  She has one son and two daughters, two of which share the same interest in jewelry. Fortunately, Mom is kind and more than willing enough to share her talents as well as her room. She is happily married and her pet love is a nine year old, enthusiastic golden retriever named Autumn.
From the Artist
"I'm Denise and I am a mixed media artist. I love to find antique and vintage treasures and turn them into works of art. I started making pieces to sell after several people remarked on the ones I was wearing. Usually they further inquired about where they could purchase one and I ended up selling the one I was wearing. That's when I thought maybe I had something to work with.  I have a passion for making jewelry and it's amazing to see people wearing the art I have produced. My art has a particular vintage feel as I use patinas to darken the metals, vintage jewelry components, old photos, images and text. My pieces are original because I never make the same item twice, so you can be guaranteed to have an original piece of art."-Denise Petersen
